But I Hate Asking People for Money! Understanding & Setting Clear Expectations for the Board's Role in Development | July 14, 2021 | 8:30 - 10:00 a.m. | Zoom

This session is geared toward giving development staff and board members a shared understanding of the board’s role in development as ambassadors, advocates and askers. We help you set clear expectations for the board in the fundraising cycle of identification, cultivation, solicitation, and stewardship and how your board can and should help in each phase. Join us to learn about reasonable, realistic, and doable activities that every board member can (and should) do to help your organization attract and deepen donor relationships. Spoiler alert: asking for money is only a small part of the work.

This presentation is designed for staff and volunteer board members who better want to lead and grow development efforts.
Helena Van Voorst, Executive Director of United Way of Addison County and Sarah Audet, Principal, Hedgehog + Fox Collaborative, LLC welcome Tere Gade and Scott McArdle of Gade McArdle as our guest presenters for this nonprofit seminar. Zoom registration is required.
